We collaborate with our community to prepare our students with the intelligence and character development necessary to find success in the world while making meaningful impact.
Here in the states there exists a power dichotomy that has disenfranchised our children for far too long. As with most systems of inequity, key stakeholders are typically left out of the development and implementation process. Unfortunately, education here isn't too far off. Students, families, and teachers lack authentic opportunities to participate actively in the educational process. Too often, those closest to the work are deemed unnecessary partners when developing high-quality learning environments. If we are serious about dismantling institutional inequities, we must intentionally build anti-racist and anti-biased institutions, starting with schools.
